Australian skipper Steve Smith names two Indian quality bowlers who can have good test careers.
Steve Smith said that India have two quality bowlers who can have good test careers in future.
The two bowlers that Steve Smith names are Mohammad Siraj and Naveed Saini.
Steve Smith also believes that they can replace injured Mohmmad Shami in remaining tests against Australia.
Mohammad Shami was injured on Day 3 of first test which India lost by a huge margin of 8 Wickets.
Shami was injured when he was batting and was hit by Pat Cummins’ bouncer.
Smith told news sources that India can replace Mohammad Shami with Mohammad Siraj or Navdeep Saini as they are two quality bowlers and can have good test careers.
Smith also said that missing Ishant Sharma obviously is a huge loss for India in terms of experience.
Team India will not only play the remaining tests without Mohammad Shami but also without their skipper Virat Kohli who has been granted paternity leave and also are missing Ishant Sharma.
“I think they’re two quality bowlers who can have some good Test careers. Obviously, they are missing Ishant (Sharma) as well, which is a big loss for them in terms of experience,” Smith told reporters, as per news agency PTI.
“The spinners that do well here generally those who get over the top of the ball and beat you with more bounce or in the air as opposed to ones that come around the ball,” Smith said.
“It’s about finding a way to adapt and that’s what the best players do around the world. I’ll hopefully learn something from that, move forward and play a little bit better in the next game,” he further explained.
