Everyone, every celebrity is currently helping and donating some amount of money to government in order to fight the Novel Coronavirus pandemic.
Suresh Raina who is currently not in any team of India ( ODI, T20 or Tests) donates Rs 52 Lakhs to Government in order to help government fight against Novel COVID-19.
Suresh Raina donated a total of 52 Lakhs in which he donated 31 Lakhs to PM-CARES Find and 21 Lakhs to UP CM’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Praises the Indian Batsmen for donating a generous amount of money.
In a tweet, PM Modi replied to Suresh Raina’s tweet by saying that “That’s a brilliant fifty, @ImRaina! #IndiaFightsCorona,”.
The tweet came as a reply to Suresh Raina’s tweet which reads as
“It’s time we all do our bit to help defeat #COVID19. I’m pledging 52 lakh for the fight against #Corona (31 lakh to the PM-CARES Fund & 21 lakh to the UP CM’s Disaster Relief Fund). Please do your bit too. Jai Hind! #StayHomeIndia @narendramodi @PMOIndia @myogiadityanath,”.
Apart from this, Suresh Raina also took part in NDTV’s #IStayHome4Compaign on Wednesday.
“I love my family. Do you? I am staying home to protect them. Are you?” Raina’s another tweet reads.
By this tweet Raina urges his Country men to follow the 21-day lockdown imposed by Government of India (GOI).
Suresh Raina last played Cricket when he was training with his fellow team members of Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu and other team members.
They were training in the first week of March before the training and IPL itself was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been postponed from 29 until 15 April.
Almost all Cricket Leagues, series and matches have been postponed or cancelled due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
