MS Dhoni announces retirement from International Cricket - Big news

MS Dhoni, former Captain of Indian cricket team and one of the successful Captain of India has announced his retirement from International Cricket.

MS Dhoni announced his retirement through an Instagram post which reads as “Thanks – Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.” , thus marking an end to his successful career.

MS Dhoni played International Cricket for India for almost 16 years and has been most successful Captain of team India.

MS Dhoni has won three ICC trophies, more than any other Indian Captain.

Team India won 2007 T20 world cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 champions trophy under Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

MS Dhoni played his last ODI game for India in previous year against New Zealand in semi-final 2019 World Cup which India lost to New Zealand by 18 runs.

He scored 50 runs off 72 balls in that match and was run out by Martin Guptill.

MS Dhoni, however will continue to play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL until he wishes.

But as far as we know, MS Dhoni will play 2020 IPL which is scheduled to be played in UAE this year in September.
