Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Match No. 12, Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals: Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs as they move ahead of the points table to the second position.
After losing the toss, Chennai Super Kings were asked to bat first by Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai. Chennai set the target of 189 runs for Rajasthan Royals as they scored 188 runs for the loss of nine wickets from 20 overs.
Almost all Chennai batsmen played short but quick innings and Faf du plessis was the highest run scorer as he scored 33 runs from 17 balls. Bravo also scored 20 runs from just 8 balls and remained not out.
Moeen Ali scored 26 runs from 20 balls and also took three wickets as he was declared Man of the Match for Chennai.
In response to Chennai’s 188 runs, Rajasthan Royals managed to score only 143 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
Jos Buttler was highest run scorer for Rajasthan in the match as he scored 49 runs from 35 balls. Skipper Sanju Samson scored only one run from five balls. Unadkat and Rahul Tewatia scored 24 and 20 runs respectively while Chris Morris scored 0.
