India tour of Australia 2020-2021 3rd Test, Sydney: After winning one test match each, both teams performed well in the third test match between India and Australia and due to which the third test match was drawn.
Currently the four-match test match series between India and Australia is leveled 1-1 after three matches with one match being drawn.
Australia won the first test match by 8 wickets while as India managed to win the second test match by 8 wickets that too without Mohammad Shami (Injured) and Virat Kohli (on leave).
The third test match scores were as below:
AUS: 338/10 & 312/6
IND: 244/10 & 334/5
Steven Smith was declared as Man of the Match as he scored 131 and 81 runs in two innings respectively.
Smith scored 131 runs from 226 deliveries in the first innings after he was run-out by Ravindra Jadeja while as he scored 81 runs from 167 deliveries after he was taken LBW by Ravichandran Ashwin in second innings of the test match.
For Australia, Steve Smith was the most positive player as he scored two good knocks in both innings and this was declared as MOM. For India, there are also many positives that they can be happy with.
Rishabh Pant scored 36 runs in first innings while as 97 runs in second innings, it’s a very big positive point for team India. Also Ravindra Jadeja performed really well as he took four Wickets in first innings and scored 28* not out in first innings. This was Jadeja’s score for the third test match as he didn’t got chance to bowl in second innings neither got chance to bat.
Now as after three test matches, both teams have won and one match has been withdrawn, it means the fourth and final test match will decide the series winner. The team winning the fourth test match will win the four match test series and if the fourth test match is also withdrawn, then the whole series will be withdrawn and both teams will share the trophy.
Australia will try hard to win the final test match and thus win the series but team India would also want to win the series. But knowing that team India don’t have Mohammad Shami and Virat Kohli, they might be happy with a draw in the final match.
